An important Wednesday awaits in the Big 12 Tournament. Arizona State got trucked by Iowa State on Saturday, but it will get a chance for revenge just four days later. Cincinnati will face UCF, trying to keep its slim at-large hopes alive. BYU and West Virginia will tangle for the right to play No. 2 seed Houston. Oklahoma State-TCU will serve as the nightcap. The sixth-seeded Horned Frogs look safely inside the field of 68, but the Cowboys have to keep stacking wins if they want to even dream of the Selection Sunday sweats.

A historic first day of the Big 12 Tournament opened the festivities on Tuesday. BYU star AJ Dybantsa erupted for 40 points in the Cougars' 105-91 win over Kansas State, and the freshman passed Kevin Durant for the most points in a single game in the history of the Big 12 Tournament. BYU joined Arizona State, Oklahoma State and Cincinnati to advance out of the opening round.

Meanwhile, teams like Kansas State, Utah, Colorado and Baylor all have to wait and see what's next. A new coach is coming to Kansas State in the not-so-distant future. Utah's season is mercilessly over after a 10-22 campaign in Alex Jensen's first year. Colorado and Baylor will await their fate before turning every ounce of attention to portal season.
