Nintendo fans, this is not a drill - celebrated indie gem Blue Prince is making its headscatching but oh-so-compelling arrival on Switch 2 at some point later today.
Yes, today! It isn't on the Nintendo eShop yet (I have just checked), but hopefully it won't be too much longer. I will keep an eye out and update when it is there.
For those unaware, Blue Prince was actually Eurogamer's 2025 Game of the Year. Many of us, myself included, were smitten with it. It's a game all about trying to find the rumoured Room 46, which is hidden deep within Mt. Holly mansion. This isn't as easy as it sounds, though, as every morning mansion's layout gets rearranged.
"Chart your own path through chambers harboring secrets and challenges in your quest to find the enigmatic Room 46," reads Blue Prince's official Switch 2 blurb. "Every chamber is unique in what it does, and every step brings you closer to unravelling the mystery."

We awarded Blue Prince five stars on its initial release last year. "More than anything, Blue Prince seems aware of the time you're spending within it, and that's pure magic to me," reads our Eurogamer review of Blue Prince.
"The richest aspect of the game's extremely rich design may be how many secrets it springs once you’ve lived with it for a while. It's the pleasure of finding hidden aspects to things you thought you understood in full, the pleasure of coming back to something you thought was simple and finding that it's not simple at all."
So, will you be checking it out?
